Individual 2. First summer male singing songs. Mugimaki's songs are similar to Red-flanked bluetail, and the tone of voice is resemble to Narucissus flycatchers. I defind two type of song phrases. One is "Bluetail-like phrase" and the other is "High-pitched tone phrase". "Bluetail-like phrase" is the base of this species' song. Lot of songs I heard in web site were using this phrase. "High-pitched tone phrase" mean that very high pithced noise "tu-----" like some flycatchers' call. Songs of aged individual : Ad3 1s10- were heard and I will write about this below. "Bluetail-like phrase" were heard all individuals, so I convinced "Bluetail-like phrase" is the base of song. Young were using this phrase many time and lack variation. "High-pitched tone phrase" were used by only Adult. I heard some high pitched phrase songs in web so I think "High-pitched tone phrase" is typical type otherwise it is not typical for young. Then we focus on the young. Which they Can't or Don't use high pitched phrase? The answer is not simple. The call of young contain high-pitched tone "tu---". So it is not true that they cannot use. Therefore I think the two possibility. First, it is difficult to insert high-pitched tone in song so need experience. Second, young avoid to insert high-pitched tone in song to keep away from struggle with adult.

Individual 3. Second summer male. Lack of White-tone of GC of thic individual in pic, but I don't think so in field. Mugimaki forage technique is more busy than other flycatchers in Japan. Narucisuss and Blue-and-white are use Collecting high percentage. But Mugimaki use Collecting more less than other flycatchers. Mugimaki use Short-flycatche many times. I cannnot good experience of this forage technique... Maybe Short-flycatche in other words Jumping.

Individual 4. The songs were very soft so it was difficult to identify the location this individual singing. Primary exhibit blownish-black, alula fresh, defined supercilium and strong orange tone of throat. I think 2s or 2s~ male. I cannot have self-confidence for defining age.
